Creating a Standard Template

Definition

A Standard Template is a text-based WhatsApp message template used for marketing, utility, or service communication.

Purpose

Used to send structured messages such as announcements, reminders, confirmations, updates, and general notifications in a predefined format

1. Initial Setup

• Enter a unique template name.

• If required, select a Time to Live (TTL) value from the dropdown (choose time measurement unit if applicable).

2. Categorization

• Select Category → Marketing Conversations

• Select Template Type → Standard Template

3. Content Creation

• Now, in the Body section, type your message.

  If you are using variables like {{1}}, {{2}}, you must provide sample values.

• This is mandatory because Meta uses these sample values to verify the template during approval.

  Without sample values, the template may get rejected.

4. Submit & Approval Process

• Click Create to submit the template.

• Status will appear as Pending.

• Click the Sync button to send the template for Meta verification.

5. After Approval

• Once approved by Meta, you can view the Message Preview to see the final template format.
