How to Run a Recurring Campaign

Overview

Recurring Campaign allows you to automatically send WhatsApp template messages at scheduled intervals.

Unlike Simple or MM Lite Broadcast (which run once), a Recurring Campaign runs repeatedly based on the selected frequency.

Use this feature for:

  • Daily reminders

  • Weekly promotions

  • Monthly updates

  • Subscription notifications

Step 1: Access Recurring Campaign

  1. Go to the left sidebar

  2. Click Campaign

  3. Click Add Campaign

  4. Select Recurring Campaign

Step 2: Set Campaign Details

Campaign Name

Enter a clear and descriptive campaign name.

Example:

  • Daily Reminder

  • Weekly Offer

  • Monthly Newsletter

Step 3: Select Audience

Choose the target audience.

1️⃣ Contacts

Use this option to send a campaign to specific individual contacts.

Steps:

  1. Select Contacts as the audience type

  2. View the contact list

  3. Select required contacts using the checkbox

  4. Click Next to proceed

This option is suitable for targeting specific users.

2️⃣ Segments

Use this option to send campaigns to a large audience based on predefined tags or conditions.

Steps:

  1. Create a segment from the Segments screen using required tags

  2. Select Segments during campaign setup

  3. Choose the created segment from the dropdown menu

  4. View the total number of contact records included

If you selected the wrong segment:

  • Delete the selected audience

  • Re-select the correct segment

  • Proceed with the campaign

3️⃣ WhatsApp Flows

Use this option to target contacts who interacted with a specific WhatsApp bot flow.

Steps:

  1. Select WhatsApp Flows as the audience type

  2. Choose the required workflow from the dropdown menu

  3. Click Next to proceed to message configuration

Step 4: Select Templates

Recurring Campaign requires a minimum of 3 templates.

  • You can use up to 4 templates in a recurring campaign.

After selecting each template:

  • Preview the template

  • Upload media (if applicable)

  • Add media separately for each template if required

Add Campaign Tags

Click the Tag input field to add campaign tags.

Tags help in:

  • Better organization

  • Easy filtering

  • Quick identification

Step 5: Set Campaign Frequency

Use the Frequency dropdown to configure how often the campaign should run.

Available options:

  • Daily

  • Weekly

  • Monthly

Daily Frequency

If you select Daily, the campaign will run every day at the selected time.

You can:

  • Choose specific Days of the Week (if required)

  • Select the Time Zone

  • Set the Start Date and Time

  • Define the End Date

Weekly Frequency

If you select Weekly, you can:

  • Set the Repetition Interval (e.g., every 1 week or every 2 weeks)

  • Choose specific Days of the Week

  • Configure the Time Zone

  • Set the Start Date and Time

  • Define the End Date

Monthly Frequency

If you select Monthly, you can:

  • Choose the specific Day of the Month

  • Select the required Month

  • Configure the Time Zone

  • Set the Start Date and Time

  • Define the End Date

Step 6: Create Recurring Campaign

After completing all required fields:

  1. Review the configuration

  2. Click Create Recurring Campaign

The campaign will be scheduled based on your selected configuration.

Monitor Recurring Campaign

Click the campaign name to track:

  • Audience size

  • Sent

  • Delivered

  • Read

  • Failed

  • Amount used

You can pause, edit, or stop the recurring campaign if required.

  • Select Contacts, Segments, or WhatsApp Flows

  • Use 3 to 4 templates

  • Configure Daily, Weekly, or Monthly schedules
