Search Message
Message assignment in Ownchat involves designating particular users or bots to handle specific chat conversations, ensuring clear ownership and responsibility for each interaction within the platform. This feature allows for efficient task distribution and ensures that customer inquiries or issues are addressed promptly and effectively.
Snooze
When you open a chat window in Ownchat, you'll immediately see all relevant customer information displayed for easy reference and effective communication.
Hide Details
The conversation timer in OwnChat shows the ongoing chat session's duration, offering real-time insights for efficient time management. Conversations can be initiated by users or businesses, supporting various communication methods like marketing, utility, or authentication, adapting to diverse scenarios and preferences.
Show Details
The Open rate in Ownchat refers to the percentage of messages or conversations that have been viewed or opened by recipients. This metric is used to gauge the effectiveness of communication and engagement within the platform.
Search Message
The Search feature allows users to find specific messages within a conversation using keywords.
It helps quickly locate information without manually scrolling through the chat history.
How It Works
Step 1: Click the Search Icon π in the top-right corner of the chat screen Step 2: Enter a keyword in the search input field Step 3: The system scans the conversation Step 4: All matching messages appear in the center panel Step 5: Click a result to jump directly to that message
Snooze
The Snooze feature allows users to set reminders for follow-up actions in a conversation.
When a reminder is set, a note is automatically created and triggered at the scheduled time.
How It Works
Step 1: Click the Snooze Icon β° in the top-right corner of the chat window Step 2: Select the date and time Step 3: Save the reminder
What happens next:
A note is created automatically
At the scheduled time, the reminder appears
You can review and continue the conversation
This helps ensure follow-ups are not missed.
Hide Details
Hide Details expands the chat window to full screen.
It provides a focused view of the conversation without distraction.
How It Works
Step 1: Click the Hide Details option Step 2: The chat window expands to full screen
Use this when you need a detailed and immersive chat view.
Show Details
Show Details shrinks the chat window to the corner of the screen.
It allows users to view and manage contact-related information alongside the conversation.
How It Works

Search works only within the current conversation.
Snooze reminders create automatic internal notes.
Hide and Show Details affect only the user interface view.
These actions are internal and not visible to customers.
