# Simple Broadcast

### How to Run a Campaign Using Simple Broadcast

Simple Broadcast allows you to send a single WhatsApp template message to multiple selected recipients at once.

This section explains how to create, configure, send, schedule, and monitor a Simple Broadcast campaign in Ownchat.

It is ideal for:\
Promotions and offers\
Customer updates\
Follow-ups\
Re-engagement campaigns

#### 1️⃣ Accessing Simple Broadcast

Follow these steps to create a new broadcast campaign:\
Navigate to the **Campaigns** module\
Click **Add Campaign**

Click **Create** to start a new campaign\
Select **Simple Broadcast**<br>

#### 2️⃣ Campaign Setup️

#### Campaign Name &#x20;

Enter **a Campaign Name**

This is an **internal label** used for:\
Tracking campaigns\
Managing campaigns\
Analyzing performance

### 3️⃣Selecting Target Audience &#x20;

You can choose your audience using **three different methods:**

#### &#x20;Option 1: Select Individual Contacts &#x20;

Best for: **Sending messages** to specific customers\
**Steps:**\
Choose **Contacts**

Manually select contacts from the list

### Option 2: Use Segments &#x20;

Best for: **Targeting grouped audiences**

Click **Select Segment dropdown**

Choose a segment (e.g., Starting Customer)\
You can select **multiple segments**\
View total contact count in the section

👉 If you don’t have a segment:\
Upload contacts using **Bulk Upload**\
Assign tags during upload

Create a segment using those tags (refer Segment module)

### Option 3: WhatsApp Flow-Based Audience &#x20;

Best for: **Behavior-based targeting**\
Steps:\
Click **WhatsApp Flow dropdown**<br>

Click **Next** after selecting your audience

Use **Delete** to remove selected audience if needed <br>

### 4️⃣ Selecting Message Template &#x20;

**⚠️ Important Requirement**

Only **Meta-approved WhatsApp templates** can be used\
Templates must be created and approved beforehand<br>

Preview and confirm

**Add Media** &#x20;

**Click Upload IMAGE from media**

#### Add Dynamic Variables &#x20;

Click **Select Value dropdown**\
Choose a variable (e.g., Name)\
Set fallback value\
Example:\

### 6️⃣ Advanced Settings &#x20;

Click **Show Advanced Settings** to configure:

Select bot from dropdown

#### Retry Settings (Auto Retry) &#x20;

Enable retry to resend failed messages:\
Toggle **Retry Sending Messages**

**Configure Retry Attempts:** &#x20;

Attempt Delay Time\
1st Retry: 6 Hours

### 7️⃣ Campaign Execution &#x20;

**Send Immediately** &#x20;

Click **Send Now**\
Campaign will be sent instantly

**Schedule Campaign** &#x20;

Click **Schedule Now**

After creation:\
Campaign appears under All Campaigns
