What is Segmentation?

OwnChat's Segmentation allow users to create custom filters, known as segments or dynamic filters, for contacts based on specific criteria. These segments are essential for targeted campaigns, enabling more effective communication with specific groups of contacts.

How to create segments in Ownchat?

  1. Click on Segments located next to the contacts at the top left corner of the screen.

  2. Select Create New Segment.

  3. Provide a name for the segment for reference.

  4. Choose the field name you want to filter by.

  5. Select the condition for filtering (e.g., equals, contains, etc.).

  6. Choose the value you want to filter for.

  7. Optionally, click on the + symbol to add more tags, or select Add Tagline to add another field.

  8. Click on Check Filters to view the segmented data.

  9. Navigate back to the segment condition screen if needed.

  10. Save the segment to apply the filter dynamically to the contact records.
