Templates help standardize customer communication on WhatsApp. All templates require approval before use and ensure consistent, compliant, and structured messaging.

Navigate to Template

There are two ways to access the Template screen in OwnChat.

Method 1: Using the Search Bar

You can quickly navigate to the Template page using the global search bar available across the platform.

Steps:

1. Locate the Search Bar at the top of the screen

1. Type "Template"

1. From the results, click WhatsApp - Template

1. You will be redirected to the Template screen

Method 2: Using Settings

You can also access the Template page through the Settings section.

Steps:

1. Click on Settings

1. Select WhatsApp to open WhatsApp channel settings

1. Click on Templates

1. You will be redirected to the Template management page

Search Templates

You can quickly locate specific templates using the search functionality.

Steps:

1. Enter the template name in the Search field

1. Matching templates will be displayed instantly

Filter by Category

Templates can be filtered based on their purpose or type.

Available Categories:

• Marketing

• Utility

• Authentication

Steps:

1. Click on the Category Filter

1. Select the required category

2. View templates based on the selected type

Template Status Tracking

Each template displays its current approval status.

Status Types:

• Created

• Approved

• Rejected

This helps you monitor template progress and identify any required actions.

View Options

You can switch between different layouts for better visibility and management.

Card View

• Displays templates in a visual, card-based layout

• Ideal for quick browsing

Table View

• Displays templates in a structured table format

• Useful for detailed analysis and comparison

Template Library

The Template Library provides access to pre-built, ready-to-use message templates.

Steps:

1. Click the Template Library button

1. Browse through available pre-approved templates

1. Select a template as needed

Add New Template

You can create a new WhatsApp message template directly from this page.

Steps:

1. Click the Add Template button

1. You will be redirected to the template creation screen

2. Enter required details and configure the template

To return to the template management screen:

1. Click on WhatsApp Template

1. You will be redirected back to the main template page

Sync Templates

The Sync feature ensures all template data is up to date.

Steps:

1. Click the Sync button

1. The system will refresh and synchronize all template data
