WhatsApp Onboarding

The WhatsApp onboarding process in Ownchat allows you to create an account, configure your business details, and connect your WhatsApp Business API for automation.

1. Overview

This guide covers the complete onboarding flow, including:

• Account registration

• Business setup

• Subscription activation

• WhatsApp Business API connection

• Phone number verification

2. Account Registration

Follow the steps below to create your Ownchat account:

1. Click the Sign In button in the top-right corner

1. Click Register here

1. Enter your Name

2. Select your Country Code and enter your Mobile Number

1. Enter your Email ID

1. Accept the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy

2. Click Sign Up

OTP Verification

1. Enter the OTP received in your email

2. Proceed to the next step

3. Password Setup

1. Enter a password in the New Password field

2. Re-enter the password in the Confirm Password field

3. Click Submit

4. Welcome Screen

1. After login, the welcome screen will be displayed

2. Click Get Started to begin setup

5. Company Information Setup

1. Enter your Company Details

1. Enter your Website URL

2. Click Next

6. Region Configuration

1. Select your preferred Currency (e.g., USD)

1. Select your Timezone (e.g., Asia/Singapore)

Click Next

1. Enter your Company Address

1. Enter your Tax Details

2. Click Next

8. Channel Selection

1. Select the channel to automate

1. Choose WhatsApp

2. Click Continue to Pricing

9. Subscription Setup

1. Click Start Free Trial

1. Click Proceed

Enter Payment Details

1. Enter your Card Number

2. Enter Expiry Date (MM/YY)

3. Enter CVV

4. Enter City

5. Enter Address

6. Enter ZIP Code

7. Click Start Trial

10. Connect WhatsApp Business API

1. Click Connect

1. Click Login with Facebook

1. Click Continue

11. Select Business Assets

1. Search and select your Business portfolio

1. Select your WhatsApp Business Account

1. Click Next

12. Add Phone Number

1. Click Add a New Number

1. Select your Country Code

2. Enter your Phone Number

3. Click Next

Phone Number Verification

1. Enter the verification code received

1. Click Confirm

13. Complete Setup

1. Click Finish

14. Assign Permissions

1. Click Assign Assets

1. Select WhatsApp Accounts

1. Choose the required account

2. Select Everything (Full access)

1. Click Assign Assets

1. Click Done

15. Verification Status

• Pending → Number is under verification

• Connected → Number is verified and ready to use

16. Test Connection

To verify the setup:

1. Send a message (e.g., “Hi”) to the connected number

2. Confirm message delivery in Ownchat
