# WhatsApp Onboarding

The WhatsApp onboarding process in Ownchat allows you to create an account, configure your business details, and connect your WhatsApp Business API for automation.

### 1. Overview  

This guide covers the complete onboarding flow, including:

* Account registration
* Business setup
* Subscription activation
* WhatsApp Business API connection
* Phone number verification

### 2. Account Registration &#x20;

**Follow the steps below to create your Ownchat account:**

1. Click the **Sign In** button in the top-right corner<br>

2. Click **Register here**<br>

3. Enter your **Name**
4. Select your **Country Code** and **enter your Mobile Number**<br>

5. Enter your **Email ID**

6. Accept the **Terms of Use** and **Privacy Policy**
7. Click Sign Up<br>

#### OTP Verification &#x20;

1. Enter the **OTP** received in your email
2. Proceed to the next step<br>

### 3. Password Setup &#x20;

1. Enter a password in the **New Password** field
2. Re-enter the password in the **Confirm Password** field
3. Click **Submit**<br>

### 4.  Welcome Screen &#x20;

1. After login, the welcome screen will be displayed
2. Click **Get Started** to begin setup<br>

### 5. Company Information Setup &#x20;

1. Enter your **Company Details**

2. Enter your **Website URL**

### 6. Region Configuration &#x20;

1. Select your preferred **Currency** (e.g., USD)<br>

2. Select your **Timezone** (e.g., Asia/Singapore)<br>

### 7️. Business Details &#x20;

1. Enter your **Company Address**<br>

### 8.  Channel Selection &#x20;

1. Select the channel to automate<br>

2. Choose WhatsApp<br>
3. Click Continue to Pricing<br>

### 9. Subscription Setup &#x20;

1. Click **Start Free Trial**<br>

#### Enter Payment Details &#x20;

1. Enter your **Card Number**
2. Enter **Expiry Date (MM/YY)**
3. Enter **CVV**
4. Enter **City**
5. Enter **Address**
6. Enter **ZIP Code**

### 10. Connect WhatsApp Business API &#x20;

1. Click **Connect**<br>

2. Click **Login with Facebook**<br>

### 11. Select Business Assets &#x20;

1. Search and select your **Business portfolio**<br>

2. Select your **WhatsApp Business Account**

### 12.  Add Phone Number &#x20;

1. Click **Add a New Number**

2. Select your **Country Code**
3. Enter your **Phone Number**

#### Phone Number Verification &#x20;

1. Enter the verification code received<br>

2. Click **Confirm**<br>

### 13. Complete Setup &#x20;

1. Click **Finish**

### 14. Assign Permissions &#x20;

1. Click **Assign Assets**<br>

2. Select **WhatsApp Accounts**<br>

3. Choose the required account
4. Select **Everything** (Full access)<br>

### 15. Verification Status &#x20;

* Pending → Number is under verification<br>

* Connected → Number is verified and ready to use<br>

### 16. Test Connection &#x20;

To verify the setup:

1. Send a message (e.g., “Hi”) to the connected number
2. Confirm message delivery in Ownchat<br>
