# Attendance

The **Attendance** section allows users to monitor work activity, track productivity, and analyze attendance insights within OwnChat.

It provides visibility into:

* Working hours
* Idle time
* Daily activity trends

This helps organizations track employee productivity and ensure efficient work management.

The Attendance analytics dashboard displays **real-time insights and performance metrics** for selected users.

### Navigating to Attendance &#x20;

Follow the steps below to access and enable Attendance:

1. Log in to Ownchat
2. Click the **Settings icon** to access your account configuration options
3. From the left sidebar, click **Attendance**

### 🔹 Enabling Attendance Tracking  <br>

1. Click **Enable Attendance Now** to activate tracking features
2. You will be automatically redirected to the **Working Hours screen**

👉 Attendance tracking requires **active working hours configuration**

### 🔹 Configuring Working Hours  <br>

Before attendance tracking begins, configure your working schedule:

* Toggle working days ON/OFF as needed:
* Disable Thursday
* Enable Tuesday
* Enable Thursday
* Enable Saturday
* Set working time:
* Enter **start time for Friday**

* Click **Save Changes** to apply your working hours

Once working hours are configured:

The **Attendance section opens automatically**

* The **Attendance section opens automatically**
* Displays analytics and tracking configurations for monitoring

The Attendance dashboard provides a summary of user work activity and productivity insights.

#### Key Components: &#x20;

* User selection filter
* Date filter
* Attendance status control
* Productivity metrics
* Activity analytics chart

### 🔹 Default Tracking Configuration  <br>

OwnChat automatically tracks user activity using predefined settings:

* **Auto-Checkout Delay** → 3 hours
* **Sync Frequency** → 15 minutes

👉 If the system detects **15 minutes of inactivity**, it automatically checks out the user

This ensures:

* Accurate tracking
* No false working hours recorded
* Reliable attendance data

👉 Example: Check the **Total Worked section** to see today’s tracked hours

* Shows periods of inactivity during working hours

* Select **Swathi** to view her attendance analytics

Available options:

* Custom Range
* Last 7 Days
* Other predefined ranges

#### Disable Attendance  <br>

* Click **Disable Attendance** to stop tracking:
  * For a specific user
  * Or organization-wide

#### Enable Attendance &#x20;

* Click **Enable Attendance Now** to resume tracking

You can also access attendance insights from the dashboard:<br>

1. Click the **Dashboard icon**
2. Open the **Attendance Scorecard section**

### Available Metrics: &#x20;

* **Active / Total Users** (e.g., 10 / 6 users)
* User list (User Field)
* Real-time user status:
  * Online
  * Offline

* **Check-in Time** → View attendance records
* **Active Time** → Monitor productivity
* **Last Active** → See recent activity timestamp

#### Refresh Data &#x20;
