Instagram Automation Setup – Ownchat

This document provides a complete step-by-step guide to:

• Creating an Ownchat account

• Configuring business details

• Connecting Instagram

• Accessing Instagram automation modules

1️. Access Ownchat & Create Account

1. Open your browser and navigate to: 👉 https://workspace.ownchat.app/

2. Click Register here to create a new account

3. You will be redirected to the Ownchat Signup Page

2️. Enter Signup Details

Fill in the required fields:

• Enter your Name

• Enter your Mobile Number (with country code)

• Enter your Email Address

After entering all details:

• Check the box to agree to:

• Terms of Use

• Privacy Policy

• Click Sign Up

3️. Email Verification (OTP)

1. Open your email inbox

2. Click the Ownchat notification email

3. Copy the OTP (One-Time Password)

4. Enter the OTP in the verification field

5. Submit to complete verification

4️. Password Setup

1. Enter your password in the New Password field

2. Re-enter the same password in the Confirm Password field

3. Click Submit

✅ Your account setup is now complete

5️. Welcome Page

• You will be redirected to the Ownchat Welcome Page

• This page displays platform features

👉 Click Get Started to continue

6️. Company Details Configuration

Enter your business information:

Basic Details

• Company Name

• Website URL

Industry Selection

• Click the Industry dropdown

• Select your business category

• Example: Media

Team Size

• Select from the Employees dropdown

👉 Click Next to proceed

7️. Regional Configuration

Set your regional preferences:

• Select Currency → INR

• Select Timezone → Asia/Kolkata

👉 Click Next

8️. Additional Business Details

• Enter:

• Company Address

• Tax Details

👉 Click Next to proceed

9️. Channel Selection

1. Choose the channel you want to onboard

👉 For this setup: Instagram

1. Click Continue To Pricing

10. Pricing Plan Selection

1. Choose billing type:

• Quarterly

• Annual

1. Select channel option:

• WhatsApp + Instagram

• OR Instagram-only (single-channel automation)

1. Choose your preferred plan

1️1️. Instagram Integration

Step 1: Start Connection

• Click Connect

Ownchat will display integration details including:

• Reading Instagram comments

• Replying to comments

• Hiding or deleting comments

• Triggering comment-based automation

Step 2: Connect Instagram

• Click Connect with Instagram

• You will be redirected to Instagram login

Step 3: Login to Instagram

1. Enter your Username and Password

2. Click Log In

Step 4: Optional Prompt

• Click Not now to skip saving login info

Step 5: Grant Permissions

• Click Allow to provide access to Ownchat

Step 6: Confirm Connection

• Click the checkmark icon to confirm successful integration

1️2. Access Instagram Settings

There are two ways to access Instagram inside Ownchat:

Method 1:

• Use the search bar at the top

• Search for Ownchat features

Method 2:

1. Go to Settings

2. Navigate to Channels → Instagram

🔹 Accounts Tab

View your Instagram account details:

• Posts

• Followers

• Following

• Profile Picture

• Name

• Website

🔹 Templates Tab

Start quickly with pre-built templates:

• Send Direct Messages (DMs)

• Trigger DMs via comments

🔹 Automation Tab

This is where automation is configured.

You can:

• Set comment reply automation

• Configure comment-to-DM automation

Automation Types:

• Universal Trigger (all posts, lives, stories)

• Single post automation

🔹 Comments Tab

Manage Instagram comments:

• View all comments

• Reply to comments

• Manage interactions

• Instagram automation works based on comment triggers

• Automation can be applied across:

  • Posts

  • Reels

  • Live

• Universal trigger enables automation for all content
