# Comments

This document provides a complete guide to:

* Accessing Instagram comments
* Viewing and managing comments
* Replying manually to comments
* Deleting comments
* Filtering and organizing comments

### 1️⃣ Access Instagram Comments &#x20;

There are two ways to access the Instagram comment page. One way is to use the top search bar in Ownchat or press Ctrl + K on your keyboard

Follow these steps to navigate to Instagram comments:

1. Click the **Settings icon** (top-right corner)
2. Select **Instagram** under channel settings
3. Navigate to the **Comments** tab

👉 This section allows you to view and manage all Instagram comments

### 2️⃣ Posting a Comment &#x20;

To simulate or test a comment:

1. Click the **comment field** on a post
2. Enter a message (e.g., Hi)
3. Click **Post**

👉 This represents how a user interacts with your Instagram post

### 3️⃣ Comments Overview &#x20;

Inside the **Comments tab**, you can:

* View all comments
* Identify which post each comment belongs to
* See comment content and timestamps

### 4️⃣ View Replies (Thread Expansion) &#x20;

1. Click **View Replies** on a comment
2. The reply thread will expand

👉 This allows you to:

* View all responses
* Track the conversation history

### 5️⃣ Manual Reply to Comments &#x20;

You can respond manually to any comment:

1. Click the **Reply** button
2. Enter your message in the text field
3. Click **Post Reply**

👉 Your reply will be posted to the Instagram comment

### 6️⃣ Delete Comments &#x20;

To remove a comment:

1. Click the **Delete icon**
2. Click **Yes** to confirm deletion

👉 The comment will be permanently removed from:

* Ownchat
* Instagram

👉 Once deleted, the comment will no longer be visible

### 7️⃣ Comment View Options &#x20;

You can switch between different layouts for better visibility:

#### 🔸 Table View &#x20;

* Click the **Table View icon**
* Displays comments in structured rows

#### 🔸 Card (Grid) View &#x20;

* Click the **Grid icon**
* Displays comments in card format

👉 Choose the view that best fits your workflow

### 8️⃣ Filter Comments &#x20;

You can filter comments using available options:

#### 🔹 Filter by Post &#x20;

1. Click the **Saved Post dropdown**
2. Select a specific post or category

#### 🔹 Filter by Date &#x20;

1. Click the **Date Filter dropdown** (e.g., Last Month)
2. Select the required time range

Example:

* Current Week

👉 Filters comments based on the selected time period

### 9️⃣ Chat Page Reference &#x20;

* Comment interactions and replies can also be viewed in the **Chat section**

👉 This helps you track conversations alongside other messages in a unified view
