# OwnAI - Chat Settings

### Overview  

OwnAI enhances your chat experience with AI-powered tools for rewriting messages, translating conversations, converting text to voice, and transcribing audio messages. All features in this section are available only after OwnAI is enabled.

### Prerequisite: Enable OwnAI &#x20;

OwnAI must be enabled before any chat features — rewriting, translation, voice, or transcription — become active.

1. Enable **OwnAI** in your settings.
2. Once enabled, all AI-assisted chat features are available within the chat screen.

### Accessing Chat &#x20;

1. Click the **Chat** option in the left navigation menu to access conversations.

### Rewrite Using AI &#x20;

This feature rewrites your message in a selected tone before you send it, while keeping the original meaning and intent unchanged.

1. Type your message in the chat input field.

2. Click the **Rewrite using AI** button.

3. Select your preferred tone from the available options (for example, **Casual**, Professional, Persuasive, Concise, or Empathetic).

The message is automatically rewritten in the selected tone.

### Translate Conversation &#x20;

This feature translates conversation messages into another language. Two options are available.

#### Default Translation &#x20;

1. Click the **Translate** option.

2.Select Default to use the predefined translation language settings.

#### Custom Translation &#x20;

1. Click the **Translate** option.
2. Select **Custom** to choose your preferred translation language.

3. Select a language from the dropdown (You can select your preferred language based on your choice. Here, I have selected **Tamil** from the dropdown to set the translation language).

4. Click **Start Now** to initialize the translation setup.

5. View and confirm your preferred translation language.

6. Click **Translate** to convert the message into the selected language.

7. Click **Custom Translate** to apply your translation settings to the message.

&#x20;     8\.  Then, select Hindi from the dropdown menu to set your translation language.

&#x20;     9\.  Then, click the Start Now button to initiate the custom translation configuration.

&#x20;    10\. Here, you can view and select your preferred translation language.

### Text to Voice &#x20;

This feature converts your text message into a voice message.

1. Click the **Audio** icon to access voice options.

2. Click **Custom Voice** to record and send a voice message.

3. Select your preferred voice option (for example, Orus (Firm)).

4. Click **Start Now** to initialize the custom voice configuration.

4. Click the **play button** to listen to the generated voice message before sending.

### Transcribe Voice Message &#x20;

This feature converts an incoming customer voice message into text.

1. Click the **Transcribe** button on the received voice message.<br>

2. Select the language for transcription (for example, **Tamil**).<br>

3. View the transcribed text converted from the audio.<br>

3. Click the **play button** to listen to the original voice message from our side if needed.<br>
